Visitors Protocol

We very much want you to enjoy your visit to Singing Hills, but it is essential that you follow the ‘protocol’ put in place for members, member’s guests and visitors alike.

Please read this ‘protocol’ thoroughly before arriving at the course, so you ensure you are allowed access to the course and make sure any playing partners are advised to read this too.

Your support on this matter is very much appreciated as we want Singing Hills to be known as a friendly welcoming Club but, not following this guidance could unfortunately result in you being asked to leave the course.

Paul Gibbons - Golf Secretary

To access the course, a player must:

  • Have a pre-reserved tee time & submitted all those playing when making the booking.
  • Have correct golf attire (golf trousers or dressed shorts, collared golf shirt, ankle socks & golf shoes).

  • Only 1 booking for up to 4 players per visitor can be made, no group bookings.
  • All Players must arrive in proper golf attire or change into suitable golf attire before reporting to the golf shop to pay the appropriate green fee (for non members) & all players must register their arrival by seeing the Shop Staff.

  • Collect your Score card at time of check in, score cards have all three 9 hole loops on the card.

The 1st Valley is next to the Driving Range, 1st     River outside the Golf Shop and 1st Lake at the end of the car park.
  • Please arrive on the 1st Tee no more than 5 mins prior to your reserved Tee time & do not tee off until your actual tee time, even if the fairway is clear.
  • Ensure you have a pitch mark repairer, golf ball, tees etc ready before going to the tee so you do not delay your tee time.

5. On the Course

  • Please stick to the paths where feasible in wet conditions and take all trollies around the outside of the bunkers guarding the greens so the green approaches and mounds surrounding the greens are preserved.
  • Buggies should always be left on the path ways when teeing off or approaching greens & should never be take on to the mounds surrounding the greens or driven between the bunkers & the approaches to the greens.
  • Please keep trollies & buggies off the Tee boxes at all times.
  • Please leave bunkers nicely raked after you have played out of them and leave the rake outside the bunker in a position it would not affect an errant shot played from the fairway.
  • Please repair your pitch marks on the green & replace any divots you take on the fairways for the benefit of all.
  • Ball Washers and bins are on most holes, please dispose of any broken tees or waste paper or empty drink cans in the bins provided.
  • Green Keepers have priority out on the courses, please do not play if they are within striking distance until they are aware you are there.
  • When a ‘Marshall’ is out on the course to ensure everything runs smoothly, please follow his direction at all times & any abusive behaviour will result in you potentially being banned from the course.
  • No glass bottles are allowed on the Golf Courses at any time.

6. Club House (Bar & Restaurant)

The Bar is open whilst the Driving Range is in operation but the restaurant closes for food orders at 4pm. Snacks & sometimes sandwiches can be obtained in the Golf Shop and bar when open and the restaurant is closed.

  • Drinks purchased from the bar are allowed on the range - take away coffee or beer but, please dispose of any waste in the bin provided just outside the range.

We thank you in advance for following these protocols so you and others enjoy a visit to Singing Hills.
